HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN SHE CARRY?
Lady Helen is licensed for 10 passengers plus two crew,

CAN I HIRE THE BOAT FOR A CORPORATE DAY?
Most certainly. just contact me with your ideas and we can work something out.

I DO YOU MAKE HOT DRINKS ON BOARD?
Yes. We have facilities on board for making hot drinks, and we also have a microwave if you want to heat up pies or pasties. On a bumpy day it can be awkward to make hot drinks, so it’s not a bad idea to bring your own flask.

DO YOU TAKE INDIVIDUALS?
Yes. most definitely, phone me on 029 20 513069 for regular updates on the fishing and availability if individual places.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
This depends on the length of time we are at sea and the type of fishing we do. Prices start at £25.00 per head for a 8-hour inshore trip (20 miles). Please phone me or e-mail me with your requirements and I will give you a competitive quote. DEPOSIT?
Yes please. I require a deposit of £50 for more than 1 trip i hold and carry the deposit forward and you pay for the trip you have had.

WHAT IF THE CHARTER IS CANCELLED?
If I cancel the trip because of weather problems I will refund your deposit in full, or you may have the option of re-booking another date. If you cancel the booking then you will be expected to pay the cost of the trip. Please remember that I am likely to have refused work on the basis of your booking. LADY HELEN costs a lot to keep and maintain and is no good to me tied to my mooring.

WEATHER?
My nightmare is to drag you all the way to Penarth and then not to be able to go to sea. This happens rarely. I can only be guided by the forecasts, and I am the only one who can make this decision. I want you to enjoy your day out with me, if I get it wrong too often you vote with your feet!

WHAT TACKLE AND CLOTHING WILL I NEED?
Clothing needs to be warm and water proof even on a nice day!

TACKLE
This depends on the type of fishing that we do on the day. It is best if we discuss this when you ring-in to check that the trip is ‘on’.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT bring Bazookas or a tackle box that takes two men to lift!

Limit your gear to what you will require on the day.

IS BAIT PROVIDED?
We only provide bait by pre arrangement and must be payed for in advance when paying your deposit.

WHAT DO WE DO WITH THE FISH WE CATCH?
The catch is yours, but bear in mind that LADY HELEN is a sport-fishing operation. We discourage the sale of fish to cover the cost of the trip. It is also illegal to sell the fish we have captured.

RETURNING FISH
If you want to return the fish alive please do. I am a great champion of conservation and actively encourage all but record fish to be returned.If youd like I photo, i`ll take several and e-mail them to you the evening after the trip

WHERE DO I PARK?
Dedicated parking is available at Penarth Marina.

ALCOHOL ON BOARD?
I personally am not permitted alcohol however; I don’t mind you having the odd can of beer just stay in control at all times.
