We were joined by Ed Farrell from UCD ,who had flown in from Ireland to initiate a smoothound tagging scheme in the Waters of the Bristol channel.A dozen smoothies boated ,best of 17 1/2 lb to Welsh international angler Chris Reed

Plenty of Rays off Aberthaw today….

Annual Xmas trip for Dave Mulley and frinds,15 codling to 4 1/2 lb boated,in calm sunny conditions.

Another calm,cold winters day, a dozen cod boated ,along with some good whiting and thornback rays,best fish a cracking double to skipper Danny…

We were oined by Terry Thomas from Total SeaFishing magazine for a forthcomin article featuinf fishing facilities in the Penarth and Cardiff areas.We locked out a 6am,in pitch black and thick fog.The fog lifted soon after sunrise,and a pretty nice winters day unfolded.In total 20 cod boated,all in the 2-4lb range.

First fish aboard in the gloom…

Lady Helen regulars Cefn Cribwr SAC,enjoyed the break in the weather boating 15 cod in the 2-3lb range.All the fish caught uptide on worm/squid coctails.
