Fished a 2 boat competition with Anchorman3,for the sports council of Wales specimen hunt….9 seperate species boated on the day with the winner aboard Lady Helen..Ian bagging a total of six different species to secure the overall winthanks to a triple of pouting, codling and a doggie late in the afternoon
We locked out into NE winds of 25 knots and heavy swells .We took shelter in Sully Bay and were immediatly into fish. The inevitable amount of doggies with thornies to 71/2 lb. Gareth landed the blonde of 13 1/2lb just before high water. The ebb continued to fish with more dogs, thornies to 10 1/2lb and 2 spotted rays of 3lb. A bonus of a starry hound came an hour down the tide to Kevin and weighed in at 12lb. The weather became kind and the sea flattened off for the ebb. All in all a good day with a steady stream of fish coming aboard and 6 species boated
